Mother knows best, but not this time! She didn’t know that my dad, bro, and I were up to something! 😉 Here’s how the Mother’s Day weekend went for my family.

SURPRISE 1 (13th May, 2017)

“But I didn’t order anything! Stay inside; call Kor down now!” Those were the words that my mum shouted out firmly when a motorbike stopped in front of my house saying that there is a delivery for Ivy Khoo.

“SURPRISE! Happy Mother’s Day!” So, I took part in a contest organized by Rent A Dress (RAD) KL asking us to send in our wishes. Check out my wish on RAD’s Instagram in the picture below.

Thank you so, so much, RAD, for delivering a bouquet of flowers coupled with a little greeting card to my house. My mum was almost in tears. :’D

Here’s the bouquet of flowers from BloomThis located at Glomac Damansara!

The card is painted by Alena Murang.

RAD is still accepting your Mother’s Day wishes! Check out their Instagram @rentadress_kl or Facebook Page: Rent A Dress KL for more info! 😀

SURPRISE 2 (14th May, 2017)

It’s officially Mother’s Day! I previously planned with my dad to bring my mum out for a morning walk, so my brother and I could sneak out to collect the brownies that I had ordered from my friend. Well, the morning walk didn’t turn out, as my mum wanted to sleep in for Mother’s Day! However, my dad being my dad managed to convince her to go out for a Dim Sum breakfast with him!

My bro and I immediately rushed out to collect the cake. When we got back, we laid the box on the table and drew on it. As soon as we heard the gate opening, we quickly turned off the lights and hid under the kitchen table – ready to surprise mum! 😉

Mum came back to this!

Ordered this mouth-watering cake from my friend. Make your orders though Instagram at @byshhnuffles ! ❤

Wishing my Supermum a very, happy Mother’s Day. Here’s a poem that I wrote last year – decided to include it in my blog as I’ve never blogged any of my poems before.

A Dedication To My Mummy (by J.K. Chai)

You’ve showered me, With love and care; And taught me, How to live and dare.

You’ve been there, When I was nowhere; And set me back, On the right track.

You’re always by my side, My number one cheerleader; Watching my tennis matches from outside, Even when I was just a beginner.

Thank you mummy, For all that you’ve done; I’m proud to call you my mummy, You’ll always be my number one.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mums out there. ❤

Love,

Janice
